The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is a constitutional Commission established under Article 237(1) of the Constitution. TSC has the following mandates under Article 237(2) and (3) of the Constitution:
- to register trained teachers;
- to recruit and employ registered teachers;
- to assign teachers employed by the Commission for service in any public school or institution;
- to promote and transfer teachers;
- to exercise disciplinary control over teachers;
- to terminate the employment of teachers;
- to review the standards of education and training of persons entering the teaching service;
- to review the demand for and the supply of teachers;
- to advise the national government on matters relating to the teaching profession.

We also collect special category data including race, health status, ethnic origin, beliefs, biometric data, family details, and sexual orientation.

Data is retained as long as necessary for the intended purpose, or as required by law. Once no longer needed, or if consent is withdrawn, we securely delete it.
